Amanda is the owner and operator of Dogpals.co.uk Pet Care. She started pet care because she has a true passion and love for all animals. She has a wonderful dog called Sasha who is 3 years old that she loves and adores. She has had cats and dogs all of her life. She understands what it feels like leaving your loved pets behind when having to work long hours or spending time away on holiday.
Nearly 2 years ago now Amanda had the chance of a once in a life time trip abroad to visit relatives in Australia. Despite being excited at the prospect she felt uneasy with the thought of putting Sasha into kennels as she had heard various stories from other dog owners about the conditions experienced and the fact that their pets had become ill whilst away with kennel cough etc.
Not wanting this for her own dog or to burden friends or family she looked far and wide within the local area for an alternative but with little luck.
Ultimately she was lucky enough to have a very good friend who took Sasha in for 16 days and cared for her as if she was her own dog with Sasha living in her home as the family dog receiving all the comfort for Sasha that this afforded.
On returning from her holiday Amanda realized that many others within the Dorset area were in the same position as her.
From these humble beginning 2 years ago Dogpals was born and now offers Home Boarding, Daycare, and Dog Walking Services throughout Dorset with a repeat customer base totaling nearly a 100 clients.
